Lanson are one of the oldest “Grande Marque” Champagne Houses. For the black label, the grapes come from “1er Cru” and “Grand Cru” site selected fruits, which is rare for a non vintage cuvée. Also the varietal selection is from three regal grapes of Pinot Meunier for fruitiness, Pinot Noir for structure, and Chardonnay for elegance and finesse. This is a remarkable champagne at this level.
