Domaine Du Haut Montlong
Vintage 2007 12.5% Vol. 750ml.
Very aromatic and up-front with citrus and white fruits. There is a real quality feel here.
Josy and Alain Sergenton got tremendous results from their ecologically integrated viticultured vineyard in Perigord. Local restaurants include it as their house white, this in France is a real statement. Carefully tended fruits, picked gently, only to extract the noble run, and no separation of the lees, with the intention to minimise unnecessary intervention, that is, when the fruit is good, do little.
Food Suggestion:
A late afternoon “stand-up wine”, with nibbles as an aperitif, or with roast monkfish.
